Covered reinforced concrete structure

Project description

The project covered the complete construction of a reinforced concrete floor slab dimensioned for heavy loads, together with foundations for the steel canopy columns. All anchor plates and steel-work details were positioned accurately before concreting, allowing rapid assembly of the roof structure without subsequent corrections.

The floor slab was executed with an integrated dry-shake hardener for increased resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage from equipment and loads. Slopes and drainage were resolved so that any rainwater carried in by equipment is directed in a controlled manner outside the covered area.

The covered space protects equipment, materials and work processes from direct precipitation and sun, while the combination of the concrete substrate and roof structure offers a solution that performs equally well for storage and operational purposes.
